Laurie Calzada, Host/Producer, The Big Money Idea

Laurie brings a host of experience to The Big Money Idea. As a very successful entrepreneur, author and speaker with more than 20 years of experience, she has seen all the best of the best, and the worst of the worse in business. She has founded or co-founded eight different corporations. Laurie recently sold her fifth business and still owns and operates two corporations: Sharp Approach Enterprises and Dynamic Approach.

Her outstanding career has allowed her to consult and present for hundreds of Fortune 1,000 companies. Laurie has written and presented on such topics as leadership, mastering change, coaching, technology, and sales. She has written two books “Inspiring Passion in Others” and “180 Ways to Effectively Deal with Change.” She just finished the first run manuscript for her third book, “Nine Principles to Living Your Life With Passion.”

As an advocate for children’s rights and the mentally ill, Laurie volunteers her time to speak for organizations such as CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association) and NAMI (National Association for Mentally Ill).

Laurie studied Marketing at the University of Maryland, European Division in Oxford, England and has a certificate of Broadcast Journalism.
